China: Forth Harbor Engineering Wins Haikou Port Contract

Recently, CCCC Forth Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. won the bid of the Haikou Port Xinhai Wharf Area Phase I, with bid-award value of RMB 438 million and construction period of 670 days.

As a major harbor area that assumes the passenger and cargo vehicles’ Ro-Ro transport, the project is made up of nine 3000GTcargo-passenger Ro-Ro berths and one 5000GT cargo-passenger Ro-Ro berth. In addition, the wharf will adopt the gravity caisson structure, with engineering content including the wharf and supporting projects, revetment, breakwater, basin and channel dredging, land area reclamation, and soft foundation processing and so on.

After being completed, the project will become the main passage for cross-sea highways and railway ferries in Haikou, which will be of great significance in boosting Haikou City’s economic development.
