The Port of Houston Authority is considering a Galveston Bay construction project, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Port of Houston Authority proposes to use a hydraulic pipeline dredge to deepen and widen the Bayport Ship Channel, deepen the Turning Basin, deepen a portion of the Bayport Flare and put all dredged material in a beneficial use site or in existing dredged material placement areas, reports ultimateclearlake.com.

Comments are due in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, Regulatory Branch Office no later than July 5.
