The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, has introduced a plan for the Tampa Harbor area dredging program.

This deepening project will include maintenance dredging of shoal material from Upper Sparkman Channel, Ybor Channel, and Ybor Turning Basin, located in the Tampa Harbor area, Hillsborough County, FL.

Dredged material will be disposed of in the disposal area 2-D North Cell.

The proposals will be due on or about 1 August 2013, and the total value of this dredging program is between $1 mln and $5 mln.
