Cashman Dredging & Marine Contracting Company was awarded a $4,227,400 contract on July 26, 2013 for maintenance dredging on the New York and New Jersey Harbor and Adjacent Channels, Upper Bay Shoal Removal (S-SR-1) Contract #1, NY NJ Navigation Improvement 50ft. Project.

The project was awarded and will be managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, New York District.

It is scheduled to begin September 2013 and end in December 2013.

Approximately 475,000 cubic yards of maintenance material will be removed from NY Harbor and placed at the Historic Area Remediation Site located approximately 21 Nautical miles from the project site.
