Dredging project at the Hastings River, aimed to widen the river and improve navigation conditions adjacent to Port Macquarie’s Town Green, is set to begin this month.
Sand that will be removed during the project will be used to replenish Town Beach between the Breakwall and Sea Rescue building.
As reported earlier today by the NBN, access to some areas of the Breakwall, Coastal Walk and Town Beach will be restricted during the dredging project.
Dredging works should be completed by late November.
