Ports Normands Associés has announced a tender for the development works of the outer harbor in the Ouistreham Port.

This scheme, with the tender deadline set for June 17th 2015, will involve a significant amount of dredging operations to ensure a level seabed providing equal water depths in this area.

Ouistreham is a small port with fishing boats, leisure craft and a ferry-harbor. It serves as the port of the city of Caen. Two sets of locks keep the canal navigable towards Caen.

The entrance to the port is a dredged channel, 8 m deep, below the hydrographic zero and 90 m long.
