Photo Update: New Sand for Broadkill Beach

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, has just released the latest photos from the Broadkill Beach renourishment program.

This project will extend Broadkill Beach for additional 150 feet seaward and approximately 2 million cubic yards of sand will be added to the beach.

The scheme, being performed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and New Jersey-based Weeks Marine, comes as a part of the Delaware River Main Channel Deepening program.
