TSHD Charlock Completes Dredging Trials

Van den Herik’s new trailing suction hopper dredger, Charlock, has successfully performed the dredging trials on the Wadden Sea and is now ready for its first job.

The vessel’s first assignment will include the coastal replenishment operations on the Dutch coast near Bloemendaal Zandvoort.

The naming ceremony of Charlock, built by Barkmeijer Shipyards, took place on February 6th in Harlingen.

HollandMT has provided a dredging equipment package for this TSHD, including the trailing suction pipe (internal diameter 900 mm), gantries, loading and unloading systems.

Van den Herik from Sliedrecht is a medium-sized player in the hydraulic engineering market and it is active in Europe and Africa.
