Trafalgar Wharf dredging starts soon

ML (UK) Dredging Ltd. is making the final preparations for their next assignment, dredging of the Trafalgar Wharf in Portsmouth.

According to the Queen’s Harbour Master Portsmouth, this routine maintenance dredging project will be conducted at Trafalgar Wharf between 28 June – 7 July 2021.

The vessels conducting this task are the spud legged backhoe dredger “BOXER” assisted by the tug “DEBEN TROY”.

They will work 24 hours a day, displaying the appropriate signals from the COLREGS when conducting their operations, the Notice said.

Spoil from the dredging vessel will be loaded into the self-propelled barge “SPLIT 2” for disposal to the NAB Spoil Ground.

Additionally, two smaller work boats, “JESSY L” and “AVONBANK” will be employed in the operation, as required.
