ML Dredging kicking off Cold Harbour dredge campaign

ML (UK) Dredging Ltd is about to undertake another maintenance dredging campaign in the Portsmouth Harbour.

ML Dredging

According to the King’s Harbour Master Portsmouth, this routine dredging will be conducted on behalf of the Royal Naval Sailing Association at Cold Harbour, located on the western side of Portsmouth Harbour.

The project is expected to begin today, January 19, and take about three weeks to complete.

The vessels conducting this task are backhoe dredgers “Witton II” or “Boxer” which will display the appropriate signals from the COLREGS during their operations.

Spoil from the dredging vessels is loaded into one of two self-propelled barges, “Split Two” or “Split Three” for disposal to the NAB Spoil Ground.
