Hajiya Aishatu Binani, a member of the House of Representatives, has appealed to the Federal Government to expedite the River Benue dredging project.
According to vanguardngr.com, she stated: “Sometime this year, I sponsored a motion at the House of Representatives calling on the Federal Government to extend the dredging of River Benue to Wuro Bokki in Adamawa State.â€
“A dredged River Benue and a functional Makurdi River Port would transform the economy of the state with massive employment and wealth creation,†said Sen. Idris Umar, the Minister of Transport.
