The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, has announced a plan for maintenance dredging of the St. Clair River near the outlet of the Black River at Port Huron, Michigan.

The project will involve removal of approximately 40,000 cubic yards of silt, sediment and associated material from the river bottom, and disposal of dredged material at the offshore location, approximately 4.5 miles into Lake Huron.

The estimated value of the project is between $500,000 and $1 million.

According to the Corps’ announcement, the tentative date for posting the solicitation is 8 May 2015, with the award of contract by the end of June 2015.
