Reclamation Work Continues at Jurong Island

Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has informed shipping, harbor craft and pleasure craft communities in Singapore’s waters that the working period for reclamation work at Jurong Island, off Pesak Basin, has been extended.

The operations will now be conducted from 15 June to 15 October.

These reclamation works involve removal of existing rocks from the rock keys along the existing shoreline and stockpiling at designated re-handling area.

The shore protection operations will be carried out by the crane barges.

The crafts involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution.
