Delaware Seashore State Park said that the nourishment of the dunes is continuing after last week’s rough storms.

At the moment, DNREC is placing sand back on the dunes to help them recover after severe erosion.

The agency said that this is not a full replenishment of the beach, but it will help the dunes recover from those storms.

According to park’s Facebook page, work will also continue in the following period.

“In the coming weeks, Delaware DNREC teams will be working to clear debris and complete dune repairs at the North Inlet Day Use area,” said Delaware Seashore State Park.

“During this time, there will be intermittent closures of the beach from the middle pedestrian dune crossing northward in the working zone.”
