Prior to the implementation of the quayside structure and container storage areas, this EUR 100 million project will include dredging of the seabed to the final depth of 16.0m and disposal of excavated material on land.

According to the port, dredging to -14.5 m in the inlet channel in the immediate vicinity of the newly constructed quayside structure may also be carried out during the construction.

In order to obtain as much information as possible on construction technologies, implementation dates and other constraints on construction contractors, the Port of Koper as contracting authority wishes to interview as many potential bidders as possible during the preparation phase of the documentation.

To this end, potential bidders who are active in the field of quayside construction or other complex civil engineering work, as well as steel pipe suppliers (piles) and dredging contractors, are invited to apply to take part in a technical dialogue to be held by the end of March 2024.
