EPA to Hold Public Meeting on Cleanup Plan for Milwaukee’s Burnham Canal (USA)

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will hold a meeting on June 28 to update the public and take comments on a proposed cleanup plan for the Burnham Canal Superfund site in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the United Community Center, 1028 S. Ninth St., Milwaukee.

EPA has proposed a $2.3 million cleanup plan to remove contaminated sediment at the west end of the canal and contaminated soil along the west bank near the 11th Street Bridge. The site is about one-half mile south of the Menomonee River.
