MCM Marine Wins St. Joseph Harbor Dredging Contract (USA)

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, awards a $336,175 contract to MCM Marine, Inc., Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., for the dredging of St. Joseph Harbor in southwest Michigan.

MCM plans to start the dredging in early April and finish up in mid-April. The contractor will deposit the shoaled material along a shoreline area south of the harbor.

Col. Mike Derosier, district engineer. β€œThe Corps of Engineers is pleased to provide dredging to ensure that important commodities can be reliably transported into the harbor.”

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, maintains a navigation system that includes 94 harbors and the Great Lakes Connecting Channels that join lakes Superior, Michigan, Huron, and Erie.
