Easy Access to JAXPORT Deepening Updates

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has updated its Jacksonville Harbor Deepening Study web page, allowing improved access to the most recent project schedules, study facts, helpful links and more.

Deepening the St. Johns River Harbor is a crucial component in the plan to attract future seaport business in order to maximize the job creation and economic benefits provided by cargo activity.

On Thursday, Oct. 25, USACE will hold a public meeting at the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal (9810 August Drive, Jacksonville, Florida 32226) to discuss the preliminary results of the ecological modeling being used in the study.

On Monday, Dec. 3, the public is invited to participate in the next bi-monthly conference call regarding the Jacksonville Harbor Deepening Study.
