USA: Officials OK Milford Pond Dredging Funds

On Monday, at the Special Town Meeting, the city officials approved funding for the Milford Pond dredging program.

Town authorities plan to dredge 12 feet of muck from the pond, so it can be used recreationally, according to milforddailynews.com.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has agreed to oversee the project and cover 65 percent of its cost.

The town’s share for this dredging project will be about $1.8 million.
