Lake Julia Dredging Project Set for Next Week

The dredging program on Lake Julia in Buhl Farm park will begin on the next Monday, according to Park General Manager Patrick B. O’Mahony.

It’s all set to go,” O’Mahon stated, and added that a meeting with Mercer County Conservation District (MCCD) is the last obstacle before Kirila Contractors can commence the dredging project.

The meeting with MCCD is scheduled for this week.

Sharonherald.com reports that the officials believe that around 15,000 cubic yards of sediment will be dredged from Lake Julia.

This very important project, at least 10 years awaited, should be completed by March 15.
