During a January 24 meeting, the Santa Rosa County Commissioners gave Michael Walther of Coastal Technology Corporation a nod to commence the permitting process for Navarre Beach renourishment program.

The permitting and final design part of this very important project will take about one year to complete, according to navarrepress.com.

Regarding this issue, Walther stated: “To move forward, we have to prepare and submit the permit application to the Florida DEP (Department of Environmental Protection) and the Corps of Engineers (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) and seek bids before the county can be ready to go.”
