Deltares Webinar: New Hydrodynamic Simulation Engine

New Hydrodynamic Simulation Engine

Today at 17:00 CEST, Deltares is setting up a Webinar entitled: ‘D-Flow Flexible Mesh, the new hydrodynamic simulation engine’. The webinar is presented by Arthur van Dam (Deltares).

D-Flow Flexible Mesh is the new Delft3D hydrodynamic simulation engine from Deltares. It offers 1D2D3D modeling of hydrostatic flow on both structured and unstructured grids, and also features HPC on computing clusters.

The following topics will be discussed:

– General introduction: flexibility and quality aspects of unstructured grid generation;

– Open source plans and early availability of the software;

– Current state: hydrodynamics, water quality, 3D modeling, illustrated by pilot projects;

– Upcoming features for 2014.

“The interactive setting of the webinars allows you to communicate with the team of developers and ask whatever you would like to learn about D-Flow Flexible Mesh. During the webinar, we have a panel of expert users and software developers available to answer questions received via text. After the webinar presentation, there is an opportunity to ask verbal questions to the presenter,” the officials announced.
