Indian River Lagoon Dredging Set for December

Cavache Inc. will start dredge operations with the dredge Michelle in the Indian River Lagoon, including Sebastian Inlet south to the Wabasso Causeway, on or about December 1, 2014.

The dredge will dispose of the material via floating, submerged and landward pipelines. The disposal area is located east of US Highway 1 and west of the AICW in Indian River County.

The portions of the pipeline closest to the dredge will remain floating and will be marked with flashing lights at night. The pipeline will be sunk along the shoreline.

Mariners are urged to maintain a safe distance from the dredge to avoid potential interference with the pipeline.

Operations will be 24/7 and will continue until on or about March 31, 2015. Mariners are advised to transit the area at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
