Muhibbah Nabs Port Klang Contract

Muhibbah Engineering Bhd, a Malaysian marine construction company, has secured a contract from Northport Bhd for upgrading the Port Klang’s Wharf 8.

Among other things, the contract will involve the associated development works at the Container Terminal 4 and a certain amount of dredging work in the area.

The completion of this scheme will place Northport in a better position to handle the Triple E-Class Container vessels. This will offer Northport improved connectivities for shipping routes to service Europe, America, China and Japan routes, Muhibbah said in a statement.

This project will start no later than July 22, and will last about 24 months.
