IADC and UNESCO-IHE Continue Their Cooperation

Business & Finance

The International Association of Dredging Companies (IADC) and UNESCO-IHE on Thursday, 21 April 2016, renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to continue building upon their good relationship.

The renewed MoU serves as a reference for initiating, promoting and coordinating joint activities and was signed by Rene Kolman, Secretary General of IADC and Dr. Johan Aad van Dijk, Business Director at UNESCO-IHE.

The general aims of the cooperation are to continue the existing collaboration with respect to the annual preparation and implementation of the Seminar on Dredging and Reclamation at UNESCO-IHE.

In addition, the partners have a joint interest in the continuation of the education and training of engineers in the fields related or relevant to the dredging industry, including in particular projects with the theme ‘Coastal Engineering and Port Development (CEPD)‘.

IADC is the global umbrella organisation for contractors in the private dredging industry. As such IADC is dedicated to not only promoting the skills, integrity and reliability of its members, but also the dredging industry in general.
