San Juan study available for public comment

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District is seeking comments on the San Juan Metro Area Coastal Storm Risk Management Study in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The study team has produced a draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment report, which is currently available for public review.

The purpose of this study is to determine Federal interest in a recommended plan to reduce damages to infrastructure as a result of coastal flooding as a result of storm surge, tide and waves from coastal storms and hurricanes along the Back Bay areas in the municipality of San Juan and adjacent municipalities.

The Corps is requesting that any questions or comments be submitted, by Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

A public webinar is scheduled for August 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (English) and from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m (Spanish).
