Australia: Mooloolah River Dredging Resumes

Mooloolah River Dredging Resumes

Recent good weather and calm conditions have been welcome news for dredging operations at the mouth of the Mooloolah River.

The ‘Saibai’ has now been able to dredge a channel in the sand bar down to the required depth for the safe passage of vessels crossing the Mooloolah River Bar.

The dredge will now concentrate on the areas to the west and east of the channel, with the larger Port Frederick dredge expected hopefully to return from repairs to site at the end of this week to remove the rest of the sand bar.
