Oman: Archirodon Wins Port of Salalah Contract

A contract for the development of a general cargo and liquid terminal at the Port of Salalah has been awarded to Archirodon, by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Oman.

The project involves expansion of the general cargo terminal, building an additional 1,266 metres of multi-purpose berths, a new northern breakwater, facilities for dry-bulk commodities and a new liquids jetty. Thus, the capacity of the terminal will be increased to 40 million tons of dry-bulk commodities and five million tons of liquid products each year. The project value is estimated at USD 143,000,000 $ and the completion date is set at Dec 18, 2013.
