UK: Dawlish Warren Dredging Plan Introduced
The Environment Agency and Teignbridge Council are considering to undertake a dredging project at the Dawlish Warren’s beach.
This program, if realized, would include removing of a large amount of sand from one east Devon town to another.
According to BBC News, this restoration project could commence in the next couple of years and will cost about £7m.
Neil Baglow, from Teignbridge District Council, stated that this plan could become reality in a very easy manner, and added: “We’d have a massive dredger that would suck up the sand, and then come and spray it back on to the beach.”
