Lewiston to Host Lower Snake River PSMP EIS

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District will hold an open house and public information meeting regarding a draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Lower Snake River Programmatic Sediment Management Plan (PSMP) on Thursday evening, January 24.

The meeting will be in the Clearwater Room of the Williams Conference Center at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, located at the northeast corner of 4th Street and 9th Avenue.

The open house will begin at 5:30 p.m. and a presentation and question and answer session will begin at 6:30 p.m. At the open house, Corps staff will be available to answer questions and provide information. This is the only public information meeting planned for this environmental impact statement because the most potential impact of the EIS would be in the Lewiston-Clarkston area.

On Dec. 21, the Corps announced a public comment period about the draft EIS had begun. Comments may be submitted to the Corps until Feb. 8, 2013.
