Avalon Officials Discuss Dredging Project

The Avalon Land and Home Owners Association held its annual “Community Connections” event on Saturday, April 12th inside Avalon Community Hall.

More than 100 people attended the event to meet with Borough officials and to hear discussions about some of the most important projects in Avalon.

Over the next three years, Avalon intends to conduct its largest dredging program in Borough history.

More than 120,000 cubic yards of material will be removed from various channels and waterways in Avalon.

The Borough will be doing the project in conjunction with the State of New Jersey who intends to dredge state-managed waterways south to 80th Street.
