The Corps is developing plans to repair scouring immediately downstream of the dam. The plan includes placing more than 14,000 cubic yards of rock along the entire width of the dam and up to 150 feet downstream. In all, an estimated three acres south of the dam will be impacted by the project.
The project is important to maintaining the structural integrity of the dam. Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of fall 2015.
