DEME: New Contracts Worth €1.6 Billion
DEME, the Belgian dredging, hydraulic engineering and environmental solutions group, has secured a number of new contracts worldwide. The total value of these orders is approximately 1.6 billion EUR.
Van Oord’s Dredger on Its Way to Kazakhstan
Wagenborg Nedlift BV, a specialist in the area of horizontal, vertical, and special transports, is currently transporting Van Oord’s new cutter suction dredger ‘Ural River’ from Nijkerk, the Netherlands, to Bautino, Kazakhstan.
DEME Reaches Milestone on New Suez Canal
Well ahead of schedule, the Consortium Dredging International NV (DI) and Great Lakes and Dock Dredging Company (GLDD) have reached their first dredging milestone of 11.000.000 m³ on lot 6 of the New Suez Canal project. The canal is now reaching 28% completion.
China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) will perform the dredging of the approach canal and berthing area at Marine Multipurpose Complex Bronka (MMPK Bronka).
Envisan Wins Trondheim Dredging Project
The City Council and the Port Authority of Trondheim in Norway have awarded its port basin rehabilitation project to Envisan, the environmental subsidiary of Jan De Nul Group.
