Ulstein Working on Jan De Nul SRIs

Ulstein Power & Control has been awarded a contract with AVIC Weihai Shipyard Co. Ltd. on power and control deliveries for two subsea rock installation (SRI) vessels for Jan De Nul Group.

The vessels will be used for rock installation to protect cables and other subsea structures at depths up to 600 meters.

The Ulstein Power & Control delivery includes the Power package consisting of generators, switchboards, motor control center, thruster frequency converters and motors, the automation system ULSTEIN IAS®, DP system and thruster control as well as the commissioning.

System integration

During the assembly of the package, focus has been on achieving the best possible system integration between different products and systems.

Ulstein will be delivering the products and systems in 2016.

The vessels are scheduled for delivery from the yard in 2017. They measure 95 m in length and 22 m in the beam.
