Houston COPRI Conference Starts Tomorrow

The Houston Chapter of the Coasts, Oceans, Ports, and Rivers Institute’s (HTX-COPRI) second annual conference will take place on October 5, 2017 at the Rice University in the Grand Hall located within the Rice Memorial Center, the American Society of Civil Engineers said in its latest release. 

“HTX COPRI goals are to enhance the advancement of scientific and engineering knowledge for members engaged in sustainable development and protection of coasts, oceans, ports, waterways, and wetlands,” they said in its announcement.

The topics that will be covered are: Coastal Engineering, Port Engineering, Ocean Engineering, and Navigation & Waterways.

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Houston Branch consists of over 3,000 members practicing in Civil Engineering or related fields. The Houston Branch hosts 10 monthly meetings a year with average attendance of about 100 people. In addition, the Branch hosts several technical seminars throughout the course of the year.
