Webinar series on water-related challenges in Latin America

Latin America has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic over the past 18 months. Yet, slowly but surely, perspectives for recovery from the health crisis are starting to appear.

However, water-related challenges remain enormous in the region, exacerbated by pressing issues such as climate change.

Latin America faces a wide range of water-related challenges, including extreme droughts and subsequent wildfires, deadly floods, heavily polluted urban areas, and poor coastal protection.

With this context in mind, the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP), the embassies of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, and Peru, and Rotterdam Partners will host a five-part webinar series to discuss possible solutions to the most urgent water challenges in the area.

The ‘Advancing solutions for water-related challenges in Latin America together’ webinar series aims to inspire, share knowledge and good practices, and connect Dutch and Latin American experts on the water challenges of today.

The targeted audience includes Latin American water and experts, urban and environmental planners, scientists, decisionmakers, young professionals; and Dutch firms either active or with business interests in the region.
