Feydhoo Harbour development moves ahead

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has just released the latest update on their Sh. Feydhoo Harbour development program.

The first shipment of rock boulders required for the breakwater construction was delivered to the project site on September 4, 2021.

New harbor basin dredging operations for the project are nearing its completion, said MTCC.

The Sh. Feydhoo Harbour project includes:

• dredging and excavation operations of 27,500cbm;

• construction of a 378m breakwater;

• a 90m revetment;

• a 276m quay wall;

• installation of 1,380sqm paved area, installation of streetlights and navigation lights.

The value of the project is MVR 33.1 million ($2.1 million).
