FIND grant for the City of Cocoa dredging project

The Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) has presented grant checks to the City of Cocoa for recent projects at Lee Wenner park including the boat ramp dredging project.

City of Cocoa

Thanks to the grants from FIND, the basin has been dredged and restored to allow for larger vessels to access the Cocoa Village.

The project included restoration of the boat ramps including new aluminum finger piers and dredging of the entire basin to include areas near the Captain Ed Lanni T-Dock and near the boat ramps.

Prior to dredging, the depth of the basin was less than 6 feet and this project has brought areas of the basin to about 7 feet deep.

This will allow larger vessels such as Intracoastal Cruisers to access portions of the waterfront at Lee Wenner Park and enjoy Historic Cocoa Village.
