J.E. McAmis crews aboard the DB Heidi-Renee are wrapping up dredging at U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Station Cape Disappointment in Washington this week.

The Station is located at the mouth of the Columbia River approximately 1.8 miles south of Ilwaco, Washington and 11 miles northwest of Astoria, Oregon.

Work includes the mechanical removal and in-water disposal of 15,000 cubic yards of sediment from the boat basin.

The dredging, which kicked off a few weeks ago, will return the mooring basin and travel lift areas at the Station to operational depths of -10.0 feet – needed to ensure safe vessel navigation, berthing, and access to the Station.
