Brighton Marina dredging update

Surveys are being undertaken in Brighton Marina to ascertain the results and exact depth of the dredging operations in the channel and identify any areas which need revisiting.

According to Premier Marinas, also awaiting survey is the area around the Visitors Bay on pontoon 10 – a useful waiting area during low water spring tides.

ML Dredging will now move on to other strategic areas in the marina to prevent siltation. Doris is currently in the channel between pontoons 21-22.

Whilst the weather has not been favourable, dredging operations are ongoing and will continue to achieve the objective of 77,000 cubic meters (or 100,000 tonnes) on the current licence.
