Murden wrapping up Shrewsbury River dredging campaign (VIDEO)

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is finishing up maintenance dredging at the Shrewsbury River, NJ.

In collaboration with the Wilmington District, the Hopper Dredge Murden is working around the clock to get the project done.

The aim of the dredging work in the Shrewsbury River federal navigation channel is to remove critical shoals from the entrance channel.

According to the Corps, the dredge Murden will remove approximately 50,000 cubic yards of sand from the federal navigation channel and placed it along the Atlantic coast of Sandy Hook.
