The expanded Port of Aberdeen has been shortlisted for its £420 million investment in the construction of Aberdeen South Harbour, the UK’s largest marine infrastructure project.

The awards recognise and showcase the skills, experience, knowledge, and passion within the construction industry in the North of Scotland.

The Port is shortlisted for the Construction Project of the Year Award alongside Halliday Fraser Muro and Rachel Walker Architects.

Keith Young, Engineering Director, Port of Aberdeen said: “This recognition underscores the dedication and hardwork of everyone involved in the project, as well as the innovative spirit that drives us to push the boundaries of what’s possible.”

“Aberdeen South Harbour stands as a testament to our commitment to create prosperity for generations and will be crucial to achieving our vision to become Scotland’s premier net zero port, offering world class facilities and services, at the heart of the nation’s energy transition,” added Young.

The winners will be unveiled at the awards ceremony which takes place at Ardoe House Hotel on Friday 27 October.
