Marsh creation in action – NOAA Fisheries VIDEO

NOAA Fisheries recently released a beautiful video named ‘Marsh Creation in Action – Louisiana’s Upper Barataria Marsh Creation Project’.

Building marshlands in coastal Louisiana involves dredging and pumping sediment from the Mississippi River, then carefully shaping it to function like a natural marsh.

The project is restoring habitat damaged by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
