We’re halfway through our beach nourishment works at Mounts Bay, and things are progressing well,” the Authority said in the update.

Approximately 20,000 cubic meters of sand has already been replenished, enhancing the resilience of the beautiful coastline.

Mounts Bay, situated on Eastern Maar Country, has experienced documented erosion over the last 50 years. Urgent sand renourishment works were previously conducted in December to protect the dunes from storm surges and high tides.
