Packery Channel is a tidal channel connecting Corpus Christi Bay to the Gulf of Mexico that supports recreational boat traffic.

The restoration project included repairs to the channel’s shoreline protection, sidewalks, bollards, storm drains, handrails, and other damaged structures.

The contractor also repaired a significant portion of the southern beach by placing over 110,000 cubic yards of dredged sand on to the shoreline.

The additional sand has helped to widen the beach and provide a buffer against erosion from storms and tides.
