UK: ABP Announces Prequalification Notice for Humber River Development

Associated British Ports has announced notice  of prequalification for construction work of an off-shore riverside berth facility to include a floating pontoon, linkspan, berthing and mooring dolphins, associated dredging works and the construction of an approach jetty.

Landside works include the provision of a terminal area to provide a first point of rest for the river terminal traffic and will include the provision of port paving, drainage, site services, area lighting and fencing works.

The works comprise the construction of an approach jetty with an approximate length of 250m within the tidal reaches of the River Humber, the provision of a floating pontoon, linkspan together with berthing and mooring dolphins to include dredge pockets -7.0 m below chart datum and an approach area dredge at – 2.0 m below chart datum in order to accomodate vessels up to 165.0m length overall with a beam of 26.0m and a draught of 6.5m in order to allow the safe mooring and discharge of vessels.
