Brazil: Sao Sebastiao Port Unveils Expansion Plan

The Brazilian port of São Sebastião plans to launch a tender worth $97.9 million for the expansion of the port.

“The works involve restoring the port’s 50-year old commercial pier and implementing a vessel traffic management system (VTMS),” the spokesperson said.

The repair work aims to allow the port, located in Brazil’s São Paulo state, to receive ships with larger drafts. Civil works should start in H2.

Final bidding rules are still being ironed out and the exact budgets for each project have yet to be defined, the official said.
