USA: Whitefish River Dredging Nears End

The majority of the Whitefish River dredging program should be complete by the end of November.

According to Jennifer Chergo with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, “It’s 95 percent complete on everything.”

During this year, around 14,800 cubic yards of material was expected to be dredged from the Whitefish River, reports flatheadnewsgroup.com.

This cleanup project will resume next spring, probably in April, when the crews will return to finish backfill work.
