Senator Urges Quick Rebuild of NJ Beaches

At the end of a day spent touring areas of Seaside Heights, Seaside Park and Hoboken affected by superstorm Sandy, U.S. Senator Robert Menendez thanked Vice-President Joseph Biden for affirming the federal government’s commitment to helping New Jersey rebuild for a better future.

Senator Menendez called the Vice-President “a good friend and strong ally” of the State of New Jersey, and that he would be a critical advocate as New Jerseyans look to rebuild transportation infrastructure, restore beaches in ways that would protect property and lives in future weather incidents.

Vice President Biden said that New Jersey was receiving the full resources of the federal government including the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Small Business Administration, and the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department.
