Ukraine LNG Terminal Plan Includes Dredging

The possibility of the joint implementation of an LNG terminal project in Ukraine has been discussed between Eduard Stavytsky, the Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine, and Ahmad Mohamed Al-Sayed, CEO of Qatar Intermediate Industries Holding Co. Ltd.

According to kyivpost.com, this LNG project, located near the town of Yuzhny, will be undertaken in two phases:

– The first phase will include dredging, the building of a connection with a high-pressure gas pipeline, and the installation of a leased floating terminal,

– The second phase will involve the construction of an onshore terminal costing Hr 735 million.

The Ministry’s press service gave no other details of the meeting.
